Being a nursing assistant can be quite a joy, but it is important to have the right education, and for good reason. You need to perform almost all the same tasks that a nurse would perform, and you have just as many responsibilities. This is why there are so many different courses that you need to take, and in order to get the most out of your education, you also need as many resources as possible.
This is where nursing assistant books come into play. Whether you are using them to help you while you’re in school, or as a way to educate yourself before you decide to go into the nursing field, they can be very important in your education process. While there are many different books to choose from, you need one with as much helpful information as you can, and an overview of all the different aspects of being an Certified Nursing Assistant.
At the top of the many books on this subject, three stand out. One of them is the Mosby’s Textbook for Nursing Assistants, by Sheila A. Sorrentino. There is also Being a Nursing Assistant, 9th Edition, by Francie Wolgin, and Essentials for Today’s Nursing Assistant, Special edition, by Peggy A. Grubbs. All three authors have books about nursing in their credentials and are considered by most experts on the subject. Rather than saying that one author is better than another, here is a review of these books, some feed back from others who have purchased them, and you can decide which one best suits your own needs.
