CNAs are responsible for certain service duties as well as performing the more routine technical tasks.  They work directly with patients to help them with the activities that they perform daily like taking care of their basic hygienic needs.  They also monitor and record the vital signs of the patients.  The direct responsibilities will vary depending on their specific assignment but they must be able to communicate well with their patients.  Building a caring and attentive working relationship with the patients is an important part of the required CNA job skills.
