If you would want to be a Certified Nursing Assistant, not only could you get the training from a certified facility but it is also possible to train online. CNA requirements may vary in different states so potential students would need to confirm the requirements that are needed in the particular state that they will be practicing CNA in.
A CNA will provide basic care to patients like feeding, bathing, dressing and monitoring of vital signs. While it is possible to take your CNA training online, students would benefit from taking the traditional on-campus program because not only will you be given class lectures but you will also be getting hands-on training.
Online CNA classes may feature video streaming that would be able to demonstrate to the student the skills and proper techniques. Other programs however, would encourage students to take the practical training from their local healthcare facilities before taking the CNA certification test.
CNA online courses are available in sites such as the CNA Training Course Online which has a 4-week program with a flexible schedule. There is also the St. Augustine Nursing Assistant School which has a six to eight week certification program that is designed by doctors, nurses and medical assistants.
Where to get CNA Training
CNA training courses are offered in many community colleges and technical schools. Some classes that are taken in a CNA training program would include pharmacology calculations, medical terminology, fundamentals of nursing, introduction to complementary healing practices, clinical procedures for medical assisting and pharmacology. CNA training programs require and approximate of 75 hours of training before a student can take the certification exam.
